Boot Drive to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association
Saturday, September 12th

Firefighters in our area have a long-standing relationship with the MDA​. Many of the same firefighters that work to raise money at the boot drive every year also volunteer at various MDA summer camps around the area. These camps are places where kids who suffer from Muscular Dystrophy can go and have life changing experiences 100% free!

CMFR responded to a single motor vehicle accident Saturday morning on I-85 south bound with pin in. Crews extracted the patient from the vehicle and GEMS transported.

CMFR responded to this MVA involving an overturned dump truck on Crowders Creek Road Friday afternoon. One patient sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment.

CMFR responded to this single vehicle accident on Oates Rd. outside Gastonia Wednesday evening. One patient was taken to the hospital to treat their injuries.

House Fire on Hwy 74
Crowders Mtn Fire and Rescue responded to this scene on HWY 74 outside Gastonia early Saturday morning. First arriving units found two single wide trailers fully involved. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Gaston County Fire Marshal's Office and the Gaston County Police Department.

House Fire on Boyd Road
Late Friday night CMFR responded to this residence on Boyd Rd. in the Chapel Grove community for a house fire. On arrival it was discovered that there was a fire in one of the upstairs bedrooms. The fire was contained to this area and extinguished by fire personnel. No one was injured and all occupants of the home were able to get out safely. The cause of the fire was investigated by the Gaston County Fire Marshal's Office.

They are only $15 per sign, or $20 with the sign mounted on a steel post.
These signs also help raise crucial funds for the Fire Department.
